Your donation goes toward critical programs like computer literacy, ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, after-school and youth cultural programs, Haitian Creole language interpretation, and crisis support.
United Way of Southwestern Indiana is serving as the fiscal sponsor of The Haitian Center of Evansville. Donations to support The Haitian Center of Evansville should be made payable to United Way of Southwestern Indiana, with The Haitian Center of Evansville noted. All charitable gifts will be used for the sole purpose of supporting The Haitian Center of Evansville. None of these donations are retained by United Way of Southwestern Indiana.
Why Our Work Matters

This is the situation many of our clients find themselves in. They want to work hard and build a better life for themselves and their families, but there are so many obstacles in the way.
The Haitian Center of Evansville works to empower individuals and families to overcome these obstacles. Through our programs, services, and referrals to community partners, we help Haitians lead successful lives while celebrating their unique culture.
Individual Giving Opportunities
$1,000 – Family Advocate
Helps 3 families receive cultural navigation and translation services.
$500 – Student Champion
Provides 2 children full scholarships for after-school or cultural programs.
$250 – Bridge Builder
Funds supplies for workforce & ESL classes
$100 – Community Friend
Covers meals and snacks for children in cultural camp for a week.
